| Ever had one of those days. Things were actually going great with Kara and I, we went out last night for dinner and a movie. Ate at Logan's and then went to the Palace to see The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, had a beautiful night. Saturday everything was great. She had plans to go out with her friends Sat. night for Halloween. She had bought this really cute costume, bought jewelry to match and boots for it. Even bought special props to go along with it. I thought I would be gracious and iron it for her to get all the wrinkles out...BAD CHOICE! I ruined it!!! It now has an iron burn right on the chest. The best thing about the whole ordeal was that she didn't get mad. I felt like a jerk and was going crazy about to cry or puke or something, but all she did was tell me that she loves me and then laughed at me even told me I needed to calm down and it wasn't that big of a deal. Thank God for Kara and for her ability to show me grace. I was panicking and about to go drive and get her a new one when she calmly said let me call and see if they have one before you drive to get another. Fortunately the store did and she asked them to hold it for her. I called the store back and explained to the guy at the counter what I had just done and him being another guy could totally relate. He assured me that they did indeed have one in her size and would hold it for us. The best thing about all of this was Kara. God, She is so good to me! After today, there is no doubt in my heart that she loves me. Anyone else would have cursed me or hit me or worse, but she showed me love in action. I love her for that! | Life at the new school is going great. It has been nice to take it easy this semester and enjoy the time off from early morning classes. I am enjoying independant study. The beautiful thing is that I only really need to spend about an hour a week doing classwork and can goof off the rest of my time. This week I realized something. I really enjoy Greek and I think that I may want to go to AGTS after graduation and get my masters and then my doctorate in Biblical languages. I never really thought of myself, the racer turned skateboarder, as a doctor, but that sounds pretty awesome. I think that I may want to teach in a Bible college. About Turbonegro, If you know what a turbonegro is then you know that it has nothing to do with racism, so don't get excited. In is Finish for commoner. If you name your albub as Party Animals, then I lable you as rock legends. I love the single All My Friends Are Dead. Hank From Hell wrote it after comming out of rehab and has stayed clean ever since. It is sort of an anthem of the old life being dead. I can relat to that. If you get the chance to see them, do it! | Today I took Emily to the Zoo for the day. Kara went to Monett to get her hair done and I got to watch Emily. We had a great time playing at the zoo. She really liked the monkeys and the warthogs. After we left the zoo she was very tired. We went out for ice cream and on our way home she fell asleep. I guess it was nap time. Well, what has been going on in my life since the last post...A lot has transpired. I have been giving a lot of thought to finishing my education and going on to grad school. I think that I may want to teach college. I think I would like to get my doctorate, but I know that I would like to at least get my masters degree. I have been thinking about teaching college and studying biblical languages. The more I have been studying Greek, the more I love it. I always knew that God was calling me into ministry, but I never quite knew what type of ministry. I think that I would enjoy teaching Greek. Pray for me for direction in this area. About H.I.M. They are from Finland and I discovered them about two years ago. I am convinced that Ville Valo is a genius. His lyrics are some of the most intellectual I have ever heard. Buy everything he does. | Well, Its been a while since I last posted. Kara told me the other day that I used to post every other day, now its every other week. So I decided to post and say whats been going on in my heart and life. A lot has been going on in my life. I know that I am so very much in love with Kara and her kids and I can't wait until the day that we are married and living together. Well, this past month in my life has been an up and down struggle for me. Some days I feel on top of the world and others I wonder if I will make it. I want Kara to be happy and am so humbled with the fact that she is with me. I read something tonight that said , "Love is not finding the perfect person. Love is finding a flawed person and looking at them perfectly." That is really how I feel about Kara. I think that she is perfect for me. I want everything to be perfect and for God to work in both of our lives so that we can be all that each other wants forever. Kara, if you are reading this, know that I am yours and that I love you forever. I know that you already said yes to marrying me, but lets do it soon. You totally inspire me and fill my heart with such a great joy. Thankyou for helping to make my life complete! Also, thankyou for being sensitive to God directing your life which brought you to me. You are one of my true heroes! I love you! About Stryper, They are a 1980's hairband that just released another new album. If you are in the mood for something retro, give them a listen. | Well, What has been going on as of late...I went to Illinois and brought the new family with me so that everyone could meet each other. Everyone seemed to have fun. Kara and I made a bunch of cd's from my dad's computer. His computer has over 4000 songs on it and most are from the 80's and 90's. Right now I am listening to Run D Mc. Talk about old school. Anyway, they ROCK. If you can find an old copy of anything Run D Mc, buy it. You will thank me later. Ryan | | |
